I have attended numerous music workshops at Bill Jones Music in Knoxville, Tennessee; the 2008 Tennessee Music Teacher Association conference at Carson Newman; and Clavinova Training with Janie Gilliam and representatives from Yamaha. From early elementary school, through the second year of college, I studied piano with either Ann Townsed or Dr. Michael Campbell. Under the direction of Duane Werner, I participated in church choirs for years. I hold the equivalent of a college music minor having completed a number of music classes at Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois between 1983 and 1986. I previously taught children's choir at BHEA and at a former church. For the last two school years, I have been the pianist for the children's choir at my church - BUMC. I have studied hymns through my own personal studies, and continued piano study for a time with June Cherry. Ross Starr   Starr Hudson Ross has over 20-years of dance experience in tap, jazz, and ballet. She also has 15-years of voice training in classical and contemporary styles. Ms. Starr was professionally trained at Kari's Dance Factory in Key West, Florida and the Universal Dance Academy in Port Charlotte, Florida. She studied voice under Ann Taddie at Maryville College, and is currently completing a degree in Child Development and Learning with a minor in Music. Additionally, she has 8-years of teaching experience in dance, voice, and musical theater. Currently she is also an instructor at Tennessee Conservatory of Fine Arts. Starr is the wife of Rev.
