Renew BHEA Membership

FAQs

Q:

We just joined BHEA and would like to start classes now, is it too late?

A:

If you have just joined BHEA, we will do our best to get you plugged into classes. However, the cut-off date to start classes for fall semester is October 1st and spring is March 1st.

Q:

What is difference between BHEA membership dues and enrichment fees?

A:

BHEA membership dues are what you pay to be a member of BHEA.  Enrichment fees cover the cost of renting the enrichment class facility (the host church).  They also cover miscellaneous costs associated with running the Enrichment program.

Q:

Why is the enrichment fee charged twice per year?

A:

It is charged per semester so families may choose to only do one semester of classes.

Q:

Are the fees per child?

A:

Both the BHEA membership dues and enrichment fees are per family, no matter the number of children you register.

Q:

Are there any other fees involved with taking classes?

A:

Yes, you will pay the teacher directly for each class your child takes.  The teacher sets the class fee and may require additional curriculum, books or other fees to be paid.

Q:

How do I pay?

A:

Click HERE to pay BHEA yearly membership dues.  Click HERE to pay semester enrichment class fees.  Class fees are paid to the teacher directly. This can be done either through the mail or at our annual membership meeting.

Q:

How will I know that I am eligible to register for enrichment classes online?

A:

Once you complete the steps HERE for enrichment class sign-ups you will be sent a username and password for our online registration system.

Q:

Is online registration mandatory?

A:

Yes, online registration is mandatory if you want to take enrichment classes.  If you need assistance, the enrichment team is more than willing to walk you through the process.

Q:

I do not have an internet connection at home or my connection is unreliable.

A:

Online registration will not open until after the public libraries are open so that you can use their computers free of charge.  The enrichment team will also meet you at the library and help you register if you are having trouble navigating the system.

Q:

What if my child has food allergies?

A:

If your child has food allergies please be sure to ask their teachers about what they may be eating or working with in that particular class.  Our enrichment classes are held at a church where many other classes are held on Sundays and through the week.  There is always the possibility that your child will be exposed to an allergen from a previous class that was held in the same room.  Ultimately, you will need to be responsible for the safety of your child.

Q:

Is the church handicap accessible?

A:

Not all areas of our current host church are accessible but a portion of the church is, BHEA will strive to help your family any way we can.
