Step 2: Withdraw Your Child from School

To get started with homeschooling, you must officially withdraw your child from school according to the unique instructions of the LEA, Church-related Umbrella School, or Accredited Online School that you have chosen to provide your legal oversight. This may look more like you are transferring your child from one school to another, in that you may need to sign a release so that transcripts can be collected by the new school.
