BHEA Ministry: Supporting Each Other and Our Community

At Blount Home Education Association (BHEA), we are more than just a homeschooling network — we are a Christ-centered community. The BHEA Ministry is here to support and serve our families with love and compassion during times of need.

Our goal is to make sure no one walks alone. Whether it’s through prayer, encouragement, meals, or financial assistance, the BHEA Ministry is a reflection of God's love in action.

Meet Your Ministry Coordinator: Nikki Turnmire

Nikki Turnmire is BHEA’s Ministry Coordinator and your point of contact for support services within our community. If you or someone you know is preparing for surgery, grieving a loss, welcoming a new child, or going through a difficult season, please reach out.

Nikki will help assess the situation, connect with the family, and coordinate appropriate support through the BHEA membership. This may include creating a meal train, sharing a prayer request, or organizing encouragement cards. Support is offered by members who volunteer to help.

To reach Nikki, email [email protected] or connect with her via the private BHEA Facebook group.

Ways the BHEA Ministry Serves

Meal Train Coordination
We organize meal trains for families in transition, such as surgery recovery, birth, illness, or loss. Nikki will work with the family to determine their needs and post the opportunity to our members.

Prayer Requests
Prayer is a central part of our ministry. Your prayer requests will be confidentially shared with our dedicated prayer team.

Encouragement and Support
We send cards and offer support to members who may be facing hard times, letting them know they are cared for and remembered.

Benevolence Fund Assistance
If you are aware of a member going through extreme financial hardship, please contact Nikki confidentially. With approval, we may be able to bless that family through our Benevolence Fund. All requests are handled with discretion.

How You Can Help

Share the Blessing: Support BHEA Families in Need

BHEA has always been more than a homeschool co-op—we are a Christ-centered community that walks together through every season of life. Sometimes, those seasons include unexpected hardship: job loss, illness, family emergencies, or financial strain that makes even the basics—like curriculum, co-op fees, or enrichment classes—feel out of reach.

This is where you can make a difference.

Give to the BHEA Benevolence Fund

The Benevolence Fund is a ministry of compassion that provides tangible help to our members in need. Every donation, no matter the size, goes directly to blessing a fellow family right here in our community—helping them continue their homeschool journey with dignity, peace, and hope.

In-Person Giving
A donation box will be available at the Welcome Table during Monday Enrichment days. Feel free to give anytime throughout the year.

Why It Matters:

Your love offering might be the reason a student gets to take part in a favorite Enrichment class…
Or why a parent doesn’t have to choose between groceries and homeschool curriculum…
Or how a hurting family feels seen, prayed for, and supported in a season of crisis.

Let’s rally together as the body of Christ to lift up our brothers and sisters.
Let’s be a tangible reminder that no one walks alone in this community.

Thank you for your generosity, prayer, and servant-hearted love.

BHEA is committed to being a reflection of God’s love through faith in action. We hope each of you feels not only welcomed, but truly seen, supported, and loved in Christ.

Let’s continue to build a strong, grace-filled homeschool community — one act of kindness at a time.

"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." -Galatians 6:2 (NIV)
