Chess Club at the Blount County Public Library
All Ages are invited to play chess (or learn how to play). Saturdays, 10 a.m. until 3p.m., Thursdays, 1p.m. until 4 p.m.
Note: The Blount County Public Library offers a plethora of fun and educational clubs and activities for kids and teens. Check it out!
Knoxville Homeschool High School Climbing Team
This team competes against Knoxville area public and private schools. This is a great way to learn the sport, as there is excellent coaching by a dad/coach named Tom Ford. Practice is held at River Sports on Middlebrook Pike. See the Facebook page for more information.
Destination Imagination
Destination Imagination teaches the creative process and empowers participants with the skills needed to success at a regional, state and global level. It allows individuals to come together as a team and create a unique solution in a fun, hands-on environment by fostering creativity and teamwork through the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), fine arts and service learning.
Our participants learn patience, flexibility, persistence, ethics, respect for others and their ideas, and the collaborative problem solving process. Teams may showcase their solutions at a tournament.

Knoxvile Christian Youth Bands
Knoxville Christian Youth Bands is dedicated to excellence in music education for motivated school-age students. Our purpose is to provide an environment for quality instrumental music education for homeschool, private school, and public school children in East Tennessee. KCYB offers an educational environment founded on Christian values with positive social experiences and outlets for creative musical expression. In addition, we strive to serve the local community through band performances that are educational, entertaining, and uplifting.

Maryville College Youth Choirs
The focus of the ensembles is to learn the fundamentals of music and the foundations of singing. Music education majors from Maryville College also assist with the groups.
- The Scottie Singers
The Scottie Singers, directed by Martha Robinson, is a youth choir for students in grades three through eight. This enrichment opportunity is for students who love to sing and want to excel above and beyond their school music experience. The group rehearses on Tuesdays from 4:15 until 5:15 p.m. in the Harry H. Harter Choral Rehearsal Room of the Clayton Center for the Arts. Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. The ensemble will present a fall concert on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the Clayton Center for the Arts' Harold and Jean Lambert Recital Hall. - The Highlander Chorale
The Highlander Chorale, directed by Jill Purvis, is an ensemble for high school age students. The group rehearses on Thursdays from 5 until 6:30 p.m. in the Harry H. Harter Choral Rehearsal Room of the Clayton Center for the Arts. Spring rehearsals begin on Thursday, August 22, 2019. The ensemble will present a fall concert on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Clayton Center for the Arts' Harold and Jean Lambert Recital Hall. Maryville Christian School Athletics
The Maryville Christian Athletic Department occasionally has roster spots available for homeschooled students. Each team has a roster maximum and can only accept a set number of players. Players must try out for each respective team. Players will not be responsible for paying the fee unless they make the team. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Director of Athletics.
