What is BHEA?
Welcome to Blount Home Education Association (BHEA)
Serving Homeschool Families in Blount County Since 1987
Blount Home Education Association (BHEA) exists to support, equip, and connect homeschooling families in Blount County and surrounding areas. Founded in 1987, BHEA is the oldest homeschool cooperative in the region.
Over the years, BHEA has flourished—offering not just enrichment sessions and events, but also community, encouragement, and a legacy of servant leadership. We remain deeply committed to equipping homeschooling families through fellowship, education, and shared purpose.

Who We Are
Rooted in values. Open to all.
BHEA is rooted in Christian principles and guided by the Apostles’ Creed. We do not require a signed statement of faith, and we welcome families from a variety of religious backgrounds who are comfortable participating in a community shaped by shared values: kindness, respect, integrity, and service.
Our membership reflects a wide range of homeschool styles and experiences—from classical and Charlotte Mason to unschooling and online. Whether you’re just beginning or preparing your teen for graduation, you’ll find support, guidance, and friendship here.
