Serve the Community

A Core Part of the BHEA Experience

At Blount Home Education Association (BHEA), we believe that serving others builds character, fosters empathy, and strengthens our connection to the community around us. Our students have the time, flexibility, and energy to make a real difference—and we want to empower our families to step into that opportunity.

Two Ways to Serve

1. Serve Independently

We encourage all BHEA families to serve regularly on their own time—whether once a month or once a week. Below is a list of local organizations that welcome volunteers, and many are open to youth and family groups.

Use this list to find a cause your family feels passionate about. Contact the organization directly, or reach out to us at [email protected] if you’d like help connecting.

2. Join BHEA Group Service Opportunities

Throughout the year, we will coordinate special service projects and group volunteering opportunities for students and families to serve together. These are a great way to build friendships and make an impact as a BHEA community.
Watch your email and Facebook group for upcoming opportunities!
