Miranda Shearer To All Instructors

Miranda has been happily married to her high school sweetheart for over 25 years and has three wonderful kids: Brevin (8th grade), Clara (5th grade) and Alena (5th grade). 

She has been homeschooling all three for several years and loves the flexibility, pursuit of personal interests, and individualized education plans that only homeschooling allows. 

Prior to homeschooling, Miranda had a 20+ year career in several different fields of education:  career and vocational education (elementary, middle and high), language arts, math, and science (elementary), and workforce development for high school seniors and recent graduates. 

Miranda has a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Natural Resources, a Master of Science in Career and Technical Education, and a Masters of Art in Elementary Education. She is currently a Tennessee certified teacher for grades K-5. 

Her interests and hobbies include farming and gardening, canning, crafts, sewing, and camping.
