Nikki Turnmire To All Instructors

Hi!  My name is Nikki Turnmire, and I've been a Christian homeschool educator for 9 years to my two children who are now in high school and middle school.  In my non-homeschooling life, I create cakes and cupcakes (www.SomethingChic.com) specializing in textured buttercream finish frosting techniques, mostly focusing on wedding cakes. I also try to live a pretty healthy lifestyle with my family focusing on preparing/cooking/eating nutritious, non-processed foods, walking, and gardening.  In my opinion, you never stop learning, and the best way to grow to know even more is to teach!  With my passions both encompassing beauty and food, it's only natural that I teach cake decorating in the form of an art class and living a healthy lifestyle by teaching a class that incorporates healthy aspects of one's body... physical, mental, social, and spiritual.  I have finished some college, worked 8 years in inner-city ministry, been married for 21 years, and along the way with our 2 kiddos, we've picked up a dog and a cat, too.  We have been members of Maryville Vineyard Church for 14 years.
