This Day of Service will be a great opportunity to bless our host, share fellowship, and make an investment in Monday Fun's most active site - the playground area! Put on your superhero cape, sunblock, and garden gloves -- and have some fun! We'd love to see families with their kids, including teens (a great time to gain service hours, too)! We will have access to the Fellowship Hall so feel free to pack a lunch and take a refreshing break. We'll get started at 9:00 am and work until the job is done. Please note that you do not need to stay the entire time, but are free to help as your schedule allows between 9 am - whenever the job is finished (probably in a few hours).
The projects:
- Clean playground equipment
- Inspect bolts, hardware and condition of wood structures
- Reposition railroad ties
- Move some posts (they are shallow)
- AND most importantly, pray over the site for the safety of the children who will use it and for the cultivation of good and Godly friendships.
Tools we need:
- A small wheelbarrow
- Some flat shovels
- A posthole digger
- Cleaning supplies (Magic Eraser sponges, rags, buckets, and soap)
- Lots of energetic hands
If you are all out of energetic hands please bring the ones you have. ROCC has a garden hose and a faucet that we may use. There are rumored wasps in the inset of the playground so if someone is worried about the beasties they may want to bring wasp spray.
