At Foothills Forest School, we aim to inspire a love for nature and learning in children. Our forest school approach fosters creativity, resilience, and confidence through outdoor experiences. Creating open-ended space that allows for development, with an approach rooted in play that meets the unique needs of the individual child to be seen and nurtured. Outdoor classrooms harmoniously align educational goals with the innate curiosity and inherent need for outdoor play we see in young children. Our program aims to diversify education for our next generation and empower them to develop a strong sense of who they are and their impact on our world.

Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-2, following the BCS calendar.

The forest school model values whole-child learning of the mind, body and soul. Our goal being that is it child led learning and discovery in nature. Our classes focus on self-awareness, awareness of others and a sense of wonder for their environment. Daily activities may include: exploration of plants and wildlife, mindfulness practices, natural art projects, body movement and coordination and curiosity-led free play
